Reimo Primus roof struts

Hi
I have a quite rare Reimo Primus hybrid high/pop top. I recently had the canvas replaced, but now one of the roof struts has failed (conveniently leaking oil onto the new canvas!) and I need to replace both struts.
Just wondering if anyone with the same roof has done this job?
I can source pretty much identical struts from SGS, who have been very helpful, but I’m struggling to get any idea of the strength of struts required. Obviously, I need struts that are strong enough to hold up a pretty heavy roof, but not too strong to put pressure on the already dodgy rear hinges! I know I can specify adjustable strength struts, but it would be helpful to know what is the minimum strength to hold the roof up. There doesn’t seem to be any marking on the old struts to give me an idea. Any advice greatly appreciated!
