Greasing

Hello- firstly apologies if this has been covered before- I have looked but couldn’t find anything. Secondly, apologies also if this is a daft question but are there any grease nipples or areas that require greasing on a 1980 type 25? I have a haynes manual and none are mentioned and have obviously looked underneath and found nothing.
I assume wheel bearings will need greasing? Again it doesn’t seem to be covered in the manual?
Thanks for reading and for any advice.

No grease nipples and yes wheel bearings need greasing on occasion.

Front are taper so obviously inner and outer, Inner is housed in the disc the outer under the grease cap behind the nut.

Rears are a single 'straight ' bearing for want of a better description behind the big 46mm nut.

Thank you very much- I thought I was losing the plot (not that I ever had it)
Sorry to be a pain but do you know where I can find the procedure for greasing the wheel bearings? I’m not new to air cooled vws believe it or not but have never undertaken any work on wheels/steering myself previously
Thanks again

You dont need to regrease the wheel bearings, just drive the van till they wear out. Use the Haynes manual for any work thats needed in the future.

Thanks for that. On the same basis should I drive until I run out of petrol or fill it when it gets low?!

You treat it like you would any other 1980's onwards vehicle.

Follow normal service schedules,
Haynes and the Owners manual will give guidance on what needs doing and when.

And refuel as normal.
Top up when you get low...
Only run the van to empty if you plan to lay the van up for a long period of time.

How about brakes, same philosophy?
