Length of battery positive cable?

Hi, can anyone tell me the length and cross sectional area for the battery positive lead between battery and starter motor please?
I need to order a new one, but would rather leave the old one fitted until have the new one.
T25, 2l, 1979.

I honestly cannot remember , but when i did ShMbO’s a few years ago , i measured inside the van from the battery to the middle of the van from left to right and then through the van and up the firewall to the engine lid and it was just a tad too long when i fitted it .

When I did mine iirc I did a search and about 2.5-3 m so I’d get a 3 m length.

parts catalogue says 3680mm for 1979 part number 251 971 228 K
later 2730mm suffix H and L
