Are these worth considering, or are things like the rear bench a real.no no?

As long as its fitted right and the gas struts work the roof is fine, I have one, gives lots of room up top for storing stuff or sleeping.
The bed is a bit of a ballache as it has the two sliders which when the seat is up blocks you from opening the engine hatch so you have to lowever the seat to gain access. but other than that its fine.

But it gives superior comfort and lays truly flat unlike a lot of rock & roll versions

It is comfy I've slept in some rock and roll beds and I might as well just get out the van and sleep on the floor they were that uncomfortable..
