1.9 DG - new van.

I need some advice please.

I have just bought a G-Reg T25 1.9DG. My previous T25 was a diesel and I'm much less familiar with petrol engines.
It has not had any fuel lines replaced for use with E10 petrol. the previous owner who had it for 10 years only drove it occasionally and used E5 super-unleaded since E10 was introduced.

I intend to replace the fuel lines as soon as possible but my question is how quickly do the existing lines deteriorate if I put E10 petrol in it? Obviously I could carry on with super-unleaded but the fuel cost is quite off putting. The engine is low mileage and in good condition.

I appreciate any help and advice.

the original fuel lines were suitable for E10; the problem can be if they have been replaced with cheap stuff that isn't anything like the quality of the originals, a lot of the more recent chinese stuff says it's such and such a grade but really isn't
cohpart sells genuinely good grade pipe in kits with fittings for our applications

Thanks for the reply Aidan and interesting information that I had not come across before. I need to get the engine checked out by someone who knows more than me about them.

As it happens I bought the van not far from you (Dolanog) and also live quite locally. Do you have a recomendation for a garage/mechanic who knows T25s well? The gearbox is in good nick.

David.

Aka SJ Baxter's other business. Same webshop format.

Or you could just buy it from Brickwerks, they do a full hose kit iirc
