Speedo Needle Return Spring

Hello

Been a while since I posted with one thing or another but now back into some spannering on my van.

I previously had a noisy speedo which I stripped down, greased and hey presto, no more noise. Now however the speedo needle started moving erratically and then broke off after hitting the stop too hard with its erratic operation. I have stripped it down again and it seems the return spring is destroyed :-(
Is there anything I can do?? I have a gps speedo already but would like to get the old speedo working again if possible?
Thanks

you could try a Watchsmith if you have one local to you, otherwise you are into trying to swap one off another speedo, which doesn't look to be easy or buying a used speedo from Mick

without the needle working, the milometer and trip will still work and you could just glue needle in place for MOT, I don't think they actually check it works, they just take the odometer reading and enter that on the system

I find a digital gps speedo actually a lot easier to read, I have power steering so the smaller wheel covers the view of the top half of the dials anyway
