Anyone able to tell me what this pink spare wire is from. It's a thinner cable than the one that actually goes to the plug.

Your wiring has been chopped about. The domestic sparky earth tape is a cause for concern, along with the pre-insulated connector.
Its all in the Haynes manual "Book of Lies" if you haven't got access to a Bentley Vanagon manual.

The wiring is me reconnecting the wires from the bulb at the heater controls as was cut when we first got camper. 1 is the looped earth(brown), other is the looped dash live when headlight switch turned on(grey/white). My taping skills aren't very good hence why it looks a mess, I've removed it to show connectors.

The pink wire im referring to is also looped from the constant live feed to the hazard switch(pink/white) so is also constant live. Unfortunately I'm not good at diagrams for wiring. Im just curious if this should be connected to anything.
