What size/type fixings should secure it to the body? I have three holes just under 5mm diameter, tried what looks like the correct size self tapper but they won't hold so clearly too small.
I dont want to nut & bolt it as its a syncro and it will be difficult, going on impossible with the tank in place.
I have nothing in stock bigger and short enough to do the job

Thanks, all the holes now have a lot of paint in them, hard to tell if they have any thread and I can't remember what I took out years ago, or even if I did it

N 034 602 1
Filister head bolt CM5x18 originally
Don't look like still available
Like what David describes
I might have some preloved ones somewhere, but I'd have to pop one out of the van first so I know exactly what I am looking for

The only used ones I have of that thread type are flanged with a 8mm hex head in black - I haven't been in my engine bay to see what is fitted but I will be doing some work on the engine wiring probably Tuesday/Wednesday

Those are the dash end fixings.
