ZIG unit, no 12v on battery.

Bit of an odd one with my ZIG CF8

On mains the 12v's work, but with the mains disconnected no 12V works. It was fine in octover.  I have 12V at the 12v switch and to the fuses So this is rather odd. I have only taken a cursory look at it so still to take a better look.

But does anyone have a clue?

I kind of want to ditch the unit anyway and put in a more modern charger so I may just end up doing that.

It's presenting 12.6v at the terminals , although I have not tried any load on it.

With EHU disconnected put your multi meter on its terminals and check the reading when a load is presented.

I went to takle this again today after going out for the morning.  I rememberd I have a battery "load" tester , I only used it yester day   for somethig else but did not click until thismorning.. Anyway Battery was fine.

I probed 12V onto the wiring on the inside of the ZIG and work back to the chock block to inject power and the accessories were working. It seems the wiring from the battery to the chock block is at fault for some reason and can't carry any current at all. both ends seemed ok.

Run in a temporary wire for the time being.

Cheers
