Saw a couple of adverts about a month ago in the local paper selling caravan bases as trailers. Think they cost approx £80, but would probably make a good trailer, with suspension, and a lot cheaper than a purpose built one. Worth a trawl through Google for a local caravan breakers?

I have the remains of a caravan suspension and tow hitch going cheap if you are looking for something.

I saw a few caravan bases on e bay a few weeks ago, whilst looking for bits for my Camper, They were from a caravan breaker. I seem to remember looking for 12v lights and then looked at other items, might be worth an hour or two, went pretty cheaply too.
Helps if you can weld!

I hadn't thought of going down this route actually as I wanted it to be relativly light and easy to manouvre - caravan bases always strike me as being heavy and unwieldy, maybe I'm wrong...??
