Hi guys wondering how you are supposed to tackle this.
Noticed a minor leak on this coolant hose and when taking it off discovered that it has these really long metal ends that leave no room to slip a new one on.
I'm thinking of cutting one down to give me room to pop a new one on.
It looks like I can't remove either end and its all part of the engine block but I could be wrong haven't had a proper look yet.
I'm new to all this so apologies.

No pics, but from the description I'm guessing it's possibly the short hose on an early DG between the thermostat housing and LHS cylinder head?
If so, remove the whole water pump/thermostat housing assembly by taking off the three WP fixing nuts. Simples.
