Dog Seat

Hi all,
We have three small dogs that travel everywhere with us, the issue we are finding is trying to get a seat for the three of them that fits onto the rock n roll bed.
The issue we're finding is most of the dog seats need a headrest and up to date seatbelts.
Our lap belts are the original so can't find anything that works. Don't want to change the original lap belts as nothing wrong with them.
I had thought about making something out of Ply and webbing to attach to the bed.
What have others used for a dog bed?

We use these, and they attach to our two dogs' harnesses. You could scorce another seatbelt socket and attach it near the other two lap belt sockets.

Thanks Rob,
I had bought one to see if it would fit but the buckle won't fit as mine are like this
No need to source a third one as mine has three lap belts.

TBH. I thought all seatbelts were standard. I wonder why they have changed them. The originals are perfect for the job.
Why re-invent the wheel?

Same here Rob, thought they were all the same.
Mine are still the static belts from '85', in full working order and no damage to any parts, there has to be some form of work around.

This is my set up with a 3/4 bed.

2 holes in above cupboard and bunjie to hold dog fence onto Autohomes bed, with large sponge armed dog bed.
They love their freedom and no tangling of dogs.

Slide back loops for entry, exit.
At night they sleep on their bed on turned captains passengers seat and fence bridged across to drivers chair.

Do like that setup. In the end, we bought a softish collapsible dog crate. Has access at the top as well.

\>For your three small dogs, creating a custom seat using ply and webbing for the rock n roll bed sounds like a great idea. It's a practical solution that will ensure comfort and security while keeping the original lap belts intact.

Hey there! We had a similar issue with our two pups before, and we ended up building a custom platform out of plywood with secure webbing straps to keep it stable on the bed—worked perfectly without needing to change the original lap belts. Maybe give that a shot or check out pet hammocks designed for lap belts; they could be a simpler fix!
Hey,
Thanks for that idea. We were going to try to build something out of Plywood, in the end went for the cage, which fits perfectly and keeps the pups secure and happy!
