Hazard lights blow fuses

Hi all - I've reached head scratching time; 1983 1.6d van, indicators all work but no hazards - checked the fuse which had blown but when I replace it it blows straight away. I now have the hazard switch disconnected and the fuse still blows. I've discounted the relay as the indicators all work fine. Anyone had a similar issue or got any suggestions?

Check your grounds and wiring on the rear might be duff

Thanks for that Seesaw - so while attempting to trace the wires from fuse to switch I found there are two wires (red and red/ white) on the back of the switch (terminal 30 I think) - disconnecting the thinner red one (ie the one not coming from the fuse) has fixed it and the hazards now work as normal. The disconnected wire seems to disappear round the back of the radio - but tracing that is for another day.
