Firstly HI and thanks for letting me join.............
I have an April 1985 (changeover year) Caravelle. Today's mission was complete new front brakes. I discovered I have early calipers and later stub axles. Managed to get later bearings as outer has 3mm ID difference. All went well until final stage when the tabbed washer wouldn't reach the outer bearing as slot in stub too short. Therefore either there is another type of thicker bearing set or the disc/hub is wrong. Any ideas please. Thanks

what is your chassis number ?
change over of outer bearing is E 023827
early brake disc to suit 2 piston brake callipers is 251 407 617 A, 278mmx13mm
armed with the correct information Brickwerks should be able to advise exactly what you need sales@brickwerks.co.uk

if you can find the suffix letters  eg AE, AG etc.. cast on the steering knuckles that would be a help identifying exactly what you have got, not all vans are still original, especially if they have had a bearing failure that damages the stub axle

Mecatechnic or Serial Combi then should be able to help, but
Brickwerks do ship abroad, you only pay the French/EU VAT so you don't get stung twice, but obviously shipping/handling will likely be more
