bucket of diluted antifreeze, sitting around: scrap?

6-8 weeks ago I needed to drain the coolant system in a big hurry. (Not enough antifreeze in the mix + big frost + pitch dark...) Since then, there's been a bucket of diluted antifreeze sitting under the van.
Can I reuse the undervan supply, filtered through an old T-shirt, or should I write it off? I've got a bit of concentrate left over -- couldn't fit it into the system last time.
The engine is pretty knackered, unlikely to be used for much more than being driven to a garage for a replacement. The main thing now that the time for hard frosts is hopefully gone, is rust prevention.
Does anyone know what antifreeze does when exposed to the air? Does it degrade? Evaporate?
