Vin stamped locations

Bit of an odd one iv nearly finished my twin tank veg conversion.. With one last thing to do. Which iv been putting off. The location for the filler neck on second tank was planned to be right night to original Just inside the wing plenty of space. Hole saw through the plates

Fit Steel tube and weld in to replace strength

Then that leaves a straight run from filler neck to right angle joint so filler can be tucked tight torear of arch. Plenty of space for it..

Here is the obvious issue not running the filler through suggested spot

No way that's gonna fill, just gonna get an air lock..
I'm more than happy putting holes into the underside of van as its for a purpose. However.. Once underseal was removed it's smack bang through the stamped chassis number.. And the inner geek and purist is a bit torn as to wether I should.. Is it stamped anywhere else other than the Vin plate in door opening.. My vans not a limited or special edition etc. Other than a Hanover..
Just wondered people's thoughts and if the Vin is stamped elsewhere.
Ignore cable ties missing a jubilee clip and it's all just mocked up and yes that's fuel grade silicone

Put the filler behind the seat and run the fill hose through the floor

That would still mean going through the Vin and would also mean. Filling diesel inside the van. Nice idea but not very practical

you wouldn’t go the the VIN you would run the pipe through the seat back and floor straight to the tank, it’s the place for water tank filler in various conversions

The back of the seat is further foward than the Vin. So you would still go through Vin area. The back of seat is inline with the. Front of the B pillar.. Unless your suggesting just to have the filler in the floor? And not on the storage area under seat either way I'd prefer to keep the filler outside the vehicle

As I said earlier I'd rather not be filling diesel through the floor in the (living compartment) water is one thing diesel no thanks.

You aren’t going to be filling it through the floor

Can you cut the hole in outrigger a bit more to the right and use either flexible pipe or a pair of 45  degree bends  to “set over” the pipe ?

That's not a bad idea actually... As silly as it sound I can't bring myself to cut the Vin number. Obviously it makes it more complicated and more joins. But it's a viable option..

My other concern is you should be sure to prevent spillage of fuel oil onto the tyre which could cause a skid /accident.

Or just have the number reproduced and attached to the dashboard lower edge facing forward like the T3 models sent to USA locations.
