Hi
Has anyone out there tried changing the fuel filter on a 2.1 injection syncro?
Mine looks original and I can see why.
Is it a fuel tank out job?

Shouldn't be a tank out job, or at least it wasn't on mine. Should be easy enough unless yours has been relocated. Where abouts is it?

Sam.

since its not part of VAG service routine its often neglected,so when it comes to change it its a right pain, nearside rear spring tower in behind, new filter, and some new pipe clamps needed,cj.

Can be done, get thin wire brush round there, then plusgas aimed back at face, so to speak, then wait, then grimace with ratchet spanners.

<ake sure you put new one back the right way, think mine was on the wrong way, arrow pointing to engine/injection feed, not tank.

Is it a fuel filter, or active charcoal cannister?

What engine code is your bus?

Cheers for all the replies

The engine is a DJ
And it is near-side rear arch next to fuel tank
Is this filter?

Does your van have A/c. I think the drier is mounted here, and looks like a filter.
