Tailgate strut to body lug?

The lug (not to sure what it's called) that is used to attach the tailgate to the body has snapped. Does anybody know where I can get one from or what they are called.
I'm on a campsite at the moment so going to have to come up with a temporary bodge for now, any ideas?
Cheers
Dave

temporary bodge is a broom handle

do you mean this - the lug the gas strut mounts on ?

looks like they are now unobtanium so you will need a cut from a van that is being scrapped

Cheers Aidan. That is the piece. Typical that it is obsolete and needs welding!
At the moment the strut is being held in with an m6x20 countersunk machine screw and nut, all I could find in Machynlleth. Fortunately the hole for the securing lug is still there. Seems to be ok as long as I'm gentle with it.

Pop into J's Garage on Monday if you are still in Mach, he may be able to sort you out, one of the shells there is probably for scrap

Cheers for that Aidan but unfortunately I'm on my way to Anglesey tomorrow. We went to Machynlleth on the train from Fairbourne for the day. Hopefully I can get something sorted when I get back to Crewe next weekend.
Will put that garage in the book though for future reference as in the Machynlleth area quite regularly :ok
