VW LT28 HT leads

Hi
My mechanic is struggling to get the correct HT leads for my 1979 VW LT28. He has tried 3 sets supplied by the motor factors he uses, they have been the VW, Audi and Porsche ones but none of them have worked. Can anyone suggest where to go to next?
