Good evening people.
So I am getting to the point where I'm a little worried every time I close my side loading door.
The center runner and the panel behind it is shot to s!@# I have managed to find a new body panel and the top part to hold the cover panel.
But that runner has become the bane of my life....

So my question to you all is what is everyone doing to replace this part?
Do I need to fabricate from scratch?

Wilmer ( my old bus ) is a 1982 lesuredrive so has the early runner (well whats left of it) and is not salvageable so can't just re weld it back on I know I'm not the only one to of had this problem so please HELP

Have a word with Alan Schofield. They might he able to fabricate one for you. I know they do a repair piece.

Yer, that would be the part. However, I believe that is a late runner. I have seen a couple of those pop up on e Bay.
I think I'm going to make one, at least then I know it's fresh metal. Has anyone had a go yet ?

What build year marks the change from the 'old' tot the 'new' sliding door?

The late model sliding door was fitted to model year 1985 so vehicles coming out of factory in late 1984 onwards had the lateĀ  sliding door fitted.
