High Top weather cover

Does anyone know if such an animal exists? I have only seen weather covers from just-kampers for T25s and T2s, but nothing high-top related.

I could shell out for one of these and see if I can extend some tarpaulin sheets to the bottom of it.

Any ideas?

Cheers

I use a 14-17 foot caravan cover for my Westy high top, got from fleabay for £73.99 last October. A bit baggy but does the job well and has survived the snow and gales. :D

The JustKampers cover is a quality bit of kit

The JustKampers cover is a quality bit of kit, but it's just not long enough for a high top, with my Devon it just about tucks under the bumpers, i would look at Towsure's range of covers if i were you.

Hmmm, yes they look like the kind of thing I should be using. I think any type of cover is going to be cheaper than adding a few more feet to the height of the garage. Cheers muchly.

do not cover a van
drive it at least every 2 weeks
for at least 20 minutes
there need a good blast of fresh air
you will do more harm than good by covering

Ummm, not quite convinced about not covering the van. I do run the van up to temperature every two weeks anyway, and move it up and down the driveway to keep the wheels free. (I keep it SORN during winter months). Thanks for the advice though.

Nah, camping not got a season, and its my daily driver !!!!
covers are moisture traps
which means rust.......

for the extra 90££ I'd be using mine 365
could cost more in welding

the old boy who does my mots dsoes 99% of the campers round me
he said "you can allways tell the ones who sit all winter, because they allways fail on bodywork, often in the same place"

I tend to agree with Matt on this, failing a dry barn or carport then the next best thing is to get it moving often. These covers seem a bit scary even if they do claim to be breathable.

On the other hand if you've ever seen any of Matt's vans you'll know that driving it around a lot is not particularly a course to no rust!! :P

yes, but theres driving around a lot, and a not lot and regulary

did 14,000 between mots last 05 to 06
not got a clue this, due to intermittant speedo failure....

and in the rust stakes, yours is catching up mine fast........

(cept mine cost a bit less)

I see the issue here is rust, whereas I was more concerned about rubber seals, paint-job etc. I learnt a costly lesson with trying to keep a '79 Chevvy Corvette outdoors. It didn't like the UK weather and leaked a lot. Once bitten twice-shy is what I was feeling here. But on reflection, there's no t-top on a T25 :)

yep rust, and sitting water in sills and a musty camper interior......

also siezed handbrake, rear shoes, rusted front discs, mossy window rubbers

the list goes on
