Drum brake adjuster is not visible

Hi,
I'm working on the rear drum brakes (1980 T25) and wanting to loosen off the shoes. When I look through the inspection hole I can see the shoe/pad but no adjuster! The inspection hole is in a different place to that in the Haynes manual. Photo from above the drum shows the inspection hole at about the 2 o'clock postion.
Is this standard or not? Does it mean trying to get the drum off with loosening the brake shoes?

I wonder if your have an bay window backplate fitted instead of a T3/T25 one,
looking at the parts diagram they aren't the same and the adjusters are different,
it's not easy to now see exactly what was fitted to the early T3/T25 - the rear hub stayed the same but I don't know if the bay backplate will even fit the T3/T25 bearing carrier
Have you had the drum off ?

Thanks for the reply. I've not had the drum off yet - currently soaking the assembly.
I'm also trying to suss out if I will need to remove the hub nut to get the drum off.. Any advice would be appreciated as Haynes is not helping much today!

Isn't the adjustment hole here?

It's been quite a while since I worked on mine, but for certain the adjuster is below the brake cylinder and between the shoes. The plugged hole at 2 o'clock is probably to check the shoe thickness. I suspect Oldiebut goodie is correct.

Well spotted - I just didn't see it with the contrast! I've been able to get and turn the adjuster this morning. Thanks folks.
