Sliding door seals

Both sliding door seals are missing from my 1980 2.0 CU.

Schofields stock some none genuine ones that fit left or right for 39.00. Anyone with experience of using them?

They do stock a genuine left hand side seal for 128.00 but not the right.

How do they fit? Glue or clips? (I have no existing seals to reference)

Many thanks.

They fit in a groove that goes all the way around the door aperture, there's also a 'channel' along the bottom that's almost always rotten.

Glued in with contact adhesive is what I've done.

I'm pretty sure they are 'handed' so can't see how they can be for either side unless I've misunderstood your post?

They go on a specific way round as well.

They will fit but you need to cut a section out, that's why they're £40 not £130 I guess?

Worth a punt though.

Which bit needs cut out? Sorry for the daft sounding questions but I haven't got the old ones to compare against, all I know is I can see daylight even with the doors shut 🙄

They're made up of 4 pre moulded corner pieces and 4 straight bits (to make up a square) one of the straight bits is too long so you'll need to cut it where it joins the corner and reduce it's length accordingly, super glue it back together.

There's also a piece that fits where the latch goes so make sure that's in the right place.
