Hi all,
Is there a way to see if the stereo is working on the leisure battery or the car battery? I thought i could tell using my volt meter. got it out of the packet yesterday... how complicated are these things?!!!
anyway, i put it on dc i think, and both the LB and car battery read 27....
i thought if the battery was being used that this might fluctuate so i would know which battery it was using. I put the stereo on, but they remained the same....
tracing wires doesn't really help as i don't understand what is what....
there must be a simple way?...

ha ha ha, that is a simple way! he he he....
probably stupid question.... do i just remove every thing of one of the terminals on the battery, or do i have to do both?

just disconnect the neg terminal off the battery......
make sure you know the code to the wireless ifit has one tho.......
while you are at it, switch a interior light on at the same time, and you'll find out if they are on the right battery too.......

..
That doesn't sound right. The meter should read between 12 and 15V.
Have another go.
You might need to use the meter in anger oneday.
Holing the leads and whirling it round your head works for me.
:D :D

he he, i reckon i probably had it on the wrong setting.... instructions where hopeless!

Hi Katy

I would check the batterys are wired correctly. 27V is too near to the sum of both batterys.

both -ve terminals should connect to the body of your bus and not to the +ve of another battery.
