Hey there,
Ive been running my Aircooled 1600 CT from Spain to Sweden no mayor issues what so ever.
However a couple of months with this Swedish winter weather ive been noticing that when starting up she is not fireing on all cylinders, cylinder 1 is missing until motor warms up and then all is fine.
what more then checking the dizzy, cables, conectors and plugs should be done?
im confused since she runs fine after warming up alittle,
Is this a common issue?
or anyone that experienced the same issue?
Many thanks

One of mine splutters a little until the choke has fully opened, about 3-4 minutes. Only an issue under load so never been able to check if it's a specific cylinder. I guess it's the choke setup that I've never really got fully sorted. I usually start the engine a few minutes before setting off and it's not an issue. I will get it right one day, but not at the top of the to do list.

Hello,
I was in Reinosa, Cantabria 2 weeks ago.... snowy mountains and surfy beach..
So.. misfire on start up that goes away when warming up...
Q: is your exhaust standard and not popping on over run ?
Q: Is there a tappet clatter just at start up ?
Q: what is the history of the cylinder heads ?
Air-Cooled Bliss..
Cordialement,

Hey there,
Thats sounds amazing.
In the end It seems it was an easy fix, i think there has been some condensed water that has worked its way into one of the HT leads/ distributor where the cable connects. so one connection in the dizzy looked all corroded and bad. but with some sanding it now shines, and so far its started fine and happy every time since.
but i cant really understand how it would start like that and then start fireing after a couple minutes.
