Hi folks. I need to replace my petrol tank as I’m getting a lot of crap blocking the filter etc.
I’ve had a lookie and there seems to be a few sizes.
How do I know what’s the right size?
And where’s the best place to find one?
Thanks

It would help to say if your van is an automatic or manual as they have different tanks.

I think this one will do if yours is a manual.
VW Fuel Tank - T3 / Late (brickwerks.co.uk)
Or this if it's an auto.
VW Fuel Tank - T3 / Injection (brickwerks.co.uk)
Or you could remove yours and try to clean it out.

I've done this job a couple of times
1st time was a diesel and I washed the tank out, even my dog stank of diesel for weeks after, not worth the effort
2nd one I got powdercoated and it's very shiny, as already stated its carb or inj, it will probably be the later model tank. Solved all my fuel related problems, best thing ever.
Shop around as prices are keen
Have a look on the net for a guy that did his, Sir Vanalot or some such, you will also need some new fuel line to use for the breather pipes, an extra £10 at halfords and yes you need to cut them long so 1mtr isn't enough
You'll see when you get there...
