Currently run on my 1.9 water cooled and lpg when you can find a garage. No problems but did think about swapping engine and gearbox [automatic] for something else. But what?  Current system has done 109,000 at around 20ish mpg. Thought maybe  another engine + box giving me more mpg would be a good idea. Possibly 'ditch' the lpg. Would have to be done by others as getting to long in the tooth to do engine swaps etc.
Any suggestions as to what 'metalwork' and approx cost.

PS. Alternative is to sell and purchase T6 camper but would rather keep my T25.

Unless you are doing a lot of miles (10k a year) then staying as you are or buying a more modern van are the sensible alternatives I'd say, especially if you would be paying someone else to do the work. If it ain't broke don't fix, if it doesn't give you joy get rid.
