Not sure if it’s a silicon, but Arbomast Autograde is the recommended non setting sealant.

Use between rubber seal and metal bodywork. I’ve put it in the groove of the seal before fitting the seal, and also applied it after fitting by squeezing the nozzle under the seal. I’ve always ended up with a mess, but a leak free mess!

There’s generally no need to use between the glass and the seal, the sealant is of use to fill the imperfections of a paint surface that has typically deteriorated, or imperfections in the metal showing up through the paint.

One i used about 30 years ago was 3M sealant 08509, higher priced than others but much better.

Apparently 3M have discontinued their 08509 sealant - there was a post regarding this a couple of weeks back on thesamba, alhough you still might be able to find some stock out there if that's the way you want to go.

Use Arbomast
after you put the window in pump Arbomast between the body and the window rubber all the way round, you will get  excess squeezing out which can be removed with plastic spreader like the one that comes with body filler.
