i'd be checking the alternator before i bought a new battery......
the ebber wont work either if the battery voltage ( at the ebber) is less than 11.5vdc, so maybe same answer to both probs?

sounds like the solenoid on the starter motor. Had exactly the same prob.If the battery is being charged ok then its not the battery...I got a new starter motor and it doesn't happen no more..or get yours checked. Annoying to say the least! Good luck.

sounds like a alternator problem / charging problem get the van started and put a volt meter across the battery , should be more that what it was at the start
as for the ebber , stop trying to start it until you have sorted the van , cos if you try too many time its going to have to be reset by ebber or someone with a resetting tool

argh but you didnt tell us that!

ok, if it IS charging,( make sure!roadside repairmen want to be back in the warm cab asap) then try a battery, i doubt it is the starter motor TBH

If the battery is being charged then its not the battery. The clicking noise is the solenoid..mine done it intimitantly and i never knew when it was going to not start...it seem to always be on a level surface and parked in a tight spot, which made bumping a pain in the backside! Get a new starter and life will be all rosey and warm again

..and yes the altenator charges the battery when your engine is running.

in an earlier post he ses that charging the battery indoors makes the van start,,, driving it makes it not start,, the aa or whoever say it's charging,, so it has to be the battery.
every pre-engaged starter in the world will click if you offer it low voltage??????
also the fact that it starts every time it's jumped
get yersen a battery m8
btw welcome to the mad house
