What is this?

1987 t25. 1.6 turbo diesel.
Hi everyone, haven't been able to drive for a while, noticed this liquid when I started up. It's coming from the part I've pointed to. Does anyone know what it is and if it's a big job? Has mot next week so trying to get sorted before then! Any help really appreciated.

Its fair to assume its diesel. I would clean and dry the area and run the engine. This should show where it is coming from.

Highly likely it is a perished leak off pipe, pull it off and you will most probably find cracked rubber under the braid.
Easy replacing them all - just push on.

It is diesel on the injector. As Oldie said above, most probably the leak-off hose leaks.
the hose is 3,5x2mm by OE, but 3.2mm ID is the common size

you need 130mm long pieces between injectors and 170mm between the last injector and the pump
If not that then it might be a loosened high pressure pipe or the injector itself.
