Has anyone tried the welding rods that just need a blowtorch to melt? Have seen some adverts recently and thought they might be ok for some light bodywork repairs.
Just a thought.

Isn't that basically brazing at that point?

It’s cold welding which means the parent metal isn’t melted, plenty of brazed up old cars in the road but hot welding is the better solution

Never tried welding or heard of this method, but would imagine a protective visor is still adviseable.

If it's the ones I have seen then they are only for aluminium if you read the small print.
