Hi 80/90
My central locking system has stopped working and I need to get it fixed soonest.
I’m in Portsmouth on Monday traveling up to Lowestoft. Can anyone advise on a VW T25 electrician who could look and fix my central locking system either in Portsmouth or in or around Lowestoft please
Help appreciated asap
Thanks Bison 53

Hi Davidoft,
The central locking via the ( usual ) passenger door on my LH drive VW T25 1990 stopped working with just a normal key operation!?!

The LH door actuator was replaced last year ! I am therefore suspecting the RH door actuator has mal functioned!?

I can call tomorrow afternoon, but need to know where your premises is located ? Address gps position please?
Thank Bill

If it's the LH side not working, it's likely that it's the LH actuator that has gone again.  The replacements that are easily available are mostly cheap reproduction chinese units (intended for T4s).  They work fine, but quality control is 'mixed' so reliability isn't great.  I've gone through one a year on my driver side (RH unit is identical to the LH) and now keep a spare.
