Leaking carb

Hi again!

Just finished one job and something else now!
I have a fuel leak that is dripping slowly from my carb and wondered if this is something that needs to be fixed by a pro or can try myself?
the flat part where it looks to be coming from, i've tightened up 4 screws, but hasn't fixed the issue.
its a pierburg , and the fuel  ends up running onto the part marked in the pic below

(i dont mind turning my hand to most things but carbs worry me as theres a lot to get wrong!)

I’m a little unclear by your description, but i think the part you are referring to is the accelerator pump, which is easy to refurb with a kit from brickwerks, you will however need to make sure you buy the correct one for your carb

thanks for the reply, yeah sorry about the description,  no idea about carb parts.
but i think you may be right anyway, as the part does move when i accelerate (but is on the opposite side from where the cable is connected.
now i have an idea of what it is I can do more searching.  thank you :)

Easy to do, just 4 screws to remove the old one. Early vans have a short diaphragm and later have a longer one. As mentioned both available from Brickwerks.
