Window chrome trim install help needed

I will put back the rear hatch window today after rust treatment.
With new rubber and chrome trim from VW-classicparts.

My question is do I install the chrome stip into the rubber first then pull in the window, or pull in the window without the chrome and insert the chrome in place.

Did not find previous topics about it.
Thanks!

Will try the most convenient when we get there

I know when I had my Mini years ago the strip was inserted after the screen was fitted using an insertion tool. Like this.

I have that tool, I was thinking ahead :)
I am here at the van trying things and now it seems in DIY the stip is easier to install when the glass is in place.
Especially with the tool.
Will chime back.

BTW the Vewib pre-formed rear seal bought from classicparts does not have the joint in the centre like the OEM :(
pic is a bit blurry but the joint is about 5cms to the leftImage

The glass went in second try.

It was easy to install the chrome with the tool in place.
The hardest thing was to put in the aluminium cap on the end.
I did broke one. Luckily I had a "spare" from the front screen.
