Fuse no 7 had blown on fuse panel behind glove box. Thought this was cig lighter as that was not working, on replacing no7 fuse it did work. But according to my Haynes no7 is for the radfan only. I have disconnected the Red pos cable from back of ciglighter as suspect it is shorting. Can't think that disconnecting this wire can affect anything else so just checking with Forum.

Note that there are links between fuses 7, 8, 9, and 10, so it is not unheard of for some items to be connected to an adjacent fuse.

Thanks Robsey, the links between the fuses explains a lot. I replaced no7 fuse after disconnecting the ciglighter in case it did serve other areas.
