Rustoleum on the break carraige.

Dunno is this the right section of the forum.
But I finally got a 2nd new track rod and I'm putting everything back together and I'm wondering should I put rustoleum on the brake carraige? I will give it a good wire brushing anyway but I'm just wondering if I give it a brush of paint will it effect it in anyway?
Same with the knuckle, should I paint that?

. Wishbone is gone back on all good so far today and ball joints are going in smoothly so far. Might quit while I'm ahead
