Hoping for a little sanity check before I decide to just add spacers;
I am fitting a wolfy exhaust to an AGG engine;
The left and right exhaust brackets have been fitted to the engine but when I offer up the exhaust there appears to be a definite gap between the 'left bracket' and the mating plate on the exhaust - hard to describe so see the sketch below which is a view from above - the gap is in the area circled in red;
Have I got something mounted backwards/upside down/incorrect??

Note that the left bracket isn't bolted on yet - it is just resting on the rubber hangers but the bracket can't move any further to the right to meet the exhaust?? Any ideas?

I had this fitting a KY exhaust (late) on a 1Y engine in an early CS van using a new late LHS mounting bracket. It didn't fit, just like yours doesn't. I asked Mr Baxter about it, and we all scratched heads. Then I used spacers. Turns out there are different LHS ally engine mount arms, and the dimensions are slightly different.

I did see those spacers but I think adding that spacer makes it worse as it would move the LHS mount further to the left and I need it to go further to the right? Or is my thinking upside-down?

So it is. You have the opposite problem to me. If only we'd swapped engine mounts! Perhaps the Wolfy exhaust was jigged on the early setup?

The wolfy exhaust is designed to be used with the early jx engine mounts. The early and late lest mount are very different. I can't tell from your pick if you have an early or late mount.
I would also concider using the hd rubber mount on the sump mount to the exhaust.

according to the parts catalogue the mounts don't change 068 251 353 is the left side mount and 068 351 370 is the right side one all the way from 1985-1992

That’s an early mounting bracket on NS as it has no return on the vertical so is correct one for that system. 

Keep an eye on where the tailpipe exits the box and also where the Y collector merges for fractures.
