Hi, has anyone bought and fitted the CVC curtains in their van. They look as if they are good, different fittings than original but look more efficient, cheers

They look the same as the Heritage ones. There are issues wit those. The rails don't fit well and the black out side bleaches in the Sun.

There used to be a German supplier of these which were nice quality with aluminium tracks for similar money, probably still available but because of Brexit they either don't deliver to UK and/or because of general materials price rises everywhere they have to charge more, so now we get offered poor quality Chinese, probably, made stuff because there is more profit in it for Heritage and the businesses they sell to. Made to aprice not to a quality like everything these days - if only everything was a reliable as a volkswagen :rofl :rofl :rofl

I've been interested in these for a while. They seem to be a good product, but I haven't found anyone who has actually used them yet.

I fitted Van X curtains to my lads T4, quality is pretty good but they take an age to get the curves right on the ends of the runners.

I've also fitted the ones from heritage to my own T25, again good quality but they're designed for factory windows so a bit more of a faf if you have a converted van.

Neither seem to be completely 'blackout'.

Just occurred to me that the westy wardrobe/ cupboards would need to be removed to fit to nearside rear window 😖

I had Van-x blackout curtains in my T5 donkey years ago - brilliant

Van-x don't have a T3 option in the black out curtains - so I fitted the T4 set. (or didn't at the time, 8 yrs ago)
Yes - they work
Yes - they look alright
Yes - they fade in the sun
No - they are not as good as they should be - because the windows are shorter so the curtains are not as stretched as they should be.
No - they dont keep the light out 100% because of the above - they sag and let light in around the edges or where they meet.
No - they dont 'glide' because of the above - the little plastic things catch on the rail fittings and lots of faffing then commences !!!!! faffing turns to janking - janking leads to fail

They are 'ok' to fit and an ok fit - but whether it be T4 or T5 or whatever the fittings could be better, the littel screws are parc and stay too proud - or snap off!! . (I improvised using a pop rivet method which is loads better)

What i'll do next time. - the back window is the worst - just use 1 curtain (I used two because oif the jail bars and they are the biggest prob)

That’s £50 per window including rail, seems pretty reasonable to me
