Some people may remember that I transferred ownership of my campervan to my sister Maureen.
She tells me that the gas pedal sticks sometimes and I think it will be a bit of rust on the inner Bowden cable.
Is it possible to lubricate it in any way or must it be replaced?

I would say that if lubbicating the engine end of the throttle mechanism wont help it , its a new cable job , there is nothing to lubricate as the inner cable runs in plastic sleeve

Mine is a little sticky when it's really cold, like it has been recently. Fine at all other times.
