It’s a fairly easy job, i did mine , i used the existing battery to starter cable to feed the van electrics , adding a junction box where the battery was
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352121275580 ... media=COPY, and just added a new cable from the battery in its new location to the starter motor
This moves the battery out of the seat box freeing up storage space and puts it closer to the main drain, the starter and therefore the alternator

it will also allow for an easier install for a second leisure battery so the gas fridge can be easily replaced

I could neverwork out why they used the under-seat location on the petrol vans.
Having the battery in the back must shorten the cable runs for the starter and alternator.
And in-turn reduce voltage drop.
Or am I being over-simplistic.
Nothing to stop you from running a leisure style / smart charge battery arrangement in the 'normal' battery well for all the front end stuff.

By the time you have run a wire round the edge of the engine bay it’s not a much shorter run than you would think from the under seat location . There is only about a meter in it , but its a far better place imho , and certainly the earth point is closer to the engine earth points

A metre can make a huge difference to voltage drop.
Especially when you need it most.

I prefer the under seat location for petrol vans, when i converted my 1.6 jx diesel to subaru i relocated the battery to under the front seat, the fuel tank was out so rewiring was easy.
