Diesel filter recommendation

I've dropped my fuel tank to replace some of the seals and hose and am working on the rest of the fuel lines whilst I have the opportunity. Here's the current layout:

There seems to be excess fuel line looped around in the engine bay and the current fuel filter is a small inline Halfords unit which I'm planning on changing.
What kind of diesel filter should I be looking for?
I also want to add a hand pump bulb, am I right in saying this just sits in the fuel line between the filter and engine?

While the fuel tank is out I'm also replacing my snapped handbrake cable, welding up a couple of holes in the floor and extending the air duct that comes out of the floor behind the front seats to later add a diesel heater. Is there anything else I should be doing while the tank is out of the way?

You can run the stock diesel filter, there’s 2 types, I’ll see if I can find the part number for the one you need

you need the 191127401 or 191127401C filter
Use some reputable brand name one.
At least Filtron or better

Why would you use or recommend JK.
Their parts are pants and overpriced.
Use BW or GSF.

And its shocking that the fuel filter is held on with a zip tie.
You have your work cut out to get that in order.

Because I have no problem buying parts from any place , Neither Brickwerks or GSF or just kampers manufacture fuel filter or any service parts , makes no odds
