Hex Bolt Sources

Good evening chaps,
I’ve been doing some work on my T25 1.9dg and need to remove a coolant pipe held on by two hex bolts (pic included for reference) - unfortunately one of the bolts is completely rounded off so I’m going to have to drill it out - which leads me to my question: Do you all know where I can source a replacement bolt from? Or know the exact dimensions so I can get one from a local DIY shop? Thanks in advance!

Don't go drilling. Use a pair of vice grips. Or remove all coolant hoses from the metal pipe and try rotating it back and forth around the one stuck bolt. It may well loosen it.
Any M8 bolt with correct length will do as a replacement, l think.
You have one bolt free to use as a guide for a replacement?

I don't think there is room for a hex head bolt there hence the use of a socket head bolt
please can we put the link to online parts catalogue up pinned so people can look stuff up for themselves, it's not difficult, and the reliance on us nerds to give this level of detail is unnecessary

and to answer the question, original bolts are part number N 090 315 1, you may find them using this number, maybe not, but the description is M8x25mm, so you are looking for a couple of 25mm long M8 socket head screws and they should be 8.9 hardness, you will find many listings for this sort of stuff on Ebay or you can go to your local nut and bolt shop if you live somewhere that still has one armed with this information and get a couple

Its often way cheaper to find a local bolt supplier to get one off shelf - usually called "fastener suppliers" on google search

The likes of 7zap, partsourq are well known on the site. A google search of the part number often then pulls up sites selling said part. ie VW heritage, brickwerks, VW classic etc.
