Hi everyone, I have started the long process of saving a T25 sat for 12 years in a barn , bodywork on a jig , engine and box out , looking for a specialist in Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire area to overhaul the engine and the gearbox for me while I scrape and scrub the body🤣🤣🤣 it is a 1.9 DG engine 1983 and an automatic gearbox, both in good working order but in need of all seals, gaskets and orings replaced and a lock of paint to make them look presentable 🤪can anyone here recommend someone nearby that can help ?? Thank you and have a great day everyone 👍

We need pics of the barn find.

Aiden Talbot does boxes. Get it shipped.

Aidan does not do auto or air-cooled boxes.

I met this fellow at a classic car show in Margate recently. He claims the VW auto box is one of the easier transmissions to rebuild and has done quite a few.

I know it's an older thread but I'm about to dive into mine as it doesn't like R without a good rev or quick shift from 1 and 2

D is a bit hit or miss when going for 3rd gear, goes in and drops down again so thinking clutch packs and seals

Drives like a demon in 1 and 2 though

Will drop the valve body and pressure test the box
