Rough Running

My 1.9 dg carevelle has over the last week has started to back fire under load. It only happens at one point and you can either back off or or acelerate though it. Took the carb off (weber) and gave that a clean was junged up helped a bit but not enough. Just had a new fuel pump thought it was that and new cap and rotor arm and plugs Is it Fuel or ignition

check all the electrical connections, check the vacc um pipes, also make sure the dizzy vaccum diaphrm isn't bust, suck gently on the vac pipe and it shoudl offer some resistamnce, if nothing found check the timeing!

Retarded...
Vac advance pipes/unit or cent adv playing up, at a guess. Or a bad connection if it cuts out and then backfires a second later.
If it 'sneezes', particularly when hot, might be plugs need changing/cleaning, or too soft a grade
