Hi All.
Been busy over the past few months fitting a new fuel tank, exhaust and getting an Mot.
Now at the stage of buying an EPS kit.
I contacted Ultimate engineering but they no longer do the kit.
Looking at old Posts AJ recommended easysteer.
My initial contact with Rick at easysteer has been impressive.
He has offered a speed sensitive system which is controlled by GPS.
Has anyone experience of this system?

I had an easy steer kit fitted there. The power steering part is brilliant but not impressed by the auto speed control. Mine was a couple of years ago so don't think GPS was an option sounds a bit gimmicky to me.

Do you mind sharing what issue you have with the auto speed control?
Do you know if it is the type that responds to the amount of force that is applied to the steering wheel?
My thoughts on the GPS system is it would be an accurate way of measuring vehicle speed and sending it to the controller.

If you are using the Corsa-B / Corsa-C / Fiat Punto mk1 EPAS, then you could use the pulse converter unit from GoWesty or Brickwerks.
They attach to most speedometers with the clip on speedo cable.
I will see if I can find a similar thread on EPAS systems.

Had mine fitted after triple heart bypass left my chest bone sensitive to he heavy steering. At low speeds when manoeuvring it works brilliant as it should be.Country lanes at low speed and it's also OK, but for me on the motorway it feels too light & that I am constantly having to correct the steering minutely to keep vehicle in a straight line. I fitted a dashboard switch to isolate the assistance when driving on m/ways

I am not sure which unit.
I spoke to easysteer and they offered 2 options for the motor.
They have designed a different setup for the RHD which I believe has the motor on the left hand side of the column and is therefore less visible.
Rick is doing aT3 Monday and is going to forward photos.
I am particularly interested in GPS as I “THINK “ it will be an accurate speed measurement but am not sure.

GPS is more accurate as long as you have a good GPS signal.
In heavily built up areas, tunnels or areas with high electrical activity the GPS signal could be adversely affected.
I use GPS at all times when driving in all vehicles, as I prefer to see what is considered a more accurate speed.
But GPS is slow to react to changes in speed as you would notice when coming to a stop.
My own personal take on this would be to use the speed pulse signal from the speedo head.
And use GPS to gauge speed limits.

Both have merits and both have drawbacks.
GPS - More accurate road speed indication compared to 1980s cable and speedo technology.
Pulse Pick-Up - Always connected to the wheels so speed indication is always in sync with the wheel rotations.

The right hand column of switches on the dash has a blanking plate in the top position in mine & I fitted one of these

I had eps fitted by Sunflower campers in Romsey, really pleased and just has an adjustment knob. I have slowly wound it back so I get some feel at speed and still enough assistance at low speed. It work very well and I dont think a more sophisticated system would improve it much. Will have the syncro done next year.

Any chance you can report back with the photo's/info etc as I'm about to go down this route and have been looking at both Easysteer and Slaughterhaus.

Fitted mine this week and pretty pleased with it, I went for their 'A series ' kit which is a bit smaller and tucks up under the dash better.
I opted for the manual adjustment version and it seems to do the job well enough.
