Overhauling my Pierburg 2E3 with the Brickwerks kit. The idle valve solenoid seal is perished - anyone know where I can get a replacement seal? (it's not part of the kit)

Looking at the brickwerks ad, it shows the seal. I would contact them as it may well have been forgotten to be added to your purchase.

The kit I bought is this one
https://brickwerks.co.uk/product/carb-r ... rburg-2e3/
Looking at the photo, all seems to be present apart from the very large o ring, but I can't see where that would go anyway.
There is an o ring that will fit over the idle cut off, but it's not anything like deep enough to form a seal, so it must be for something else.
I guess I could improvise with a bit of hose or stacked o rings/ rubber washers

Sorry, I missed the kit part of your post. I thought you had bought the idle valve solenoid.

Hi, were you able to source the seal at all please. I could do with one, am thinking of using nitrile (fuel resistant) rubber hose.

There does not appear to be an o ring, in either the parts catalogue or the manual afaics

I couldn’t find one when I looked recently, I used a piece of hose too, worked a treat , looks like the seal is counted as part of the solenoid

Hi, it isn't an o ring, it's a rubber collar, around 5mm deep.

Great, by my reckoning it is 12mm I.D. x 16mm O.D. and 5mm deep. I was going to use nitrile hose.
What sizes and material did you use please.
