HI , just noticed a bit of a noise from the gearbox when reversing , right now i need the vehicle for work only travelling about 10 miles each way so not a lot of miles, so the questions are ,

1 Should i be worried about this.( i know a bit of a how long is a piece of string question )

2 Could i get away with fitting a uk 5 speed box while mine is off for a rebuild assuming i could find a useable one     or is this box different from uk ones.

change the oil see what the drain plug has to tell you
Box is essentially the same but there are several different flavours of 5 speed depending on engine, you'd want a nice petrol box for the gearing; get the code off yours to compare
