Correct lower centre dash panel for 84/5 caravelle?

Hi, this is hopefully a simple one for someone.  The LHD Velle GL I have just taken on has no lower centre panel, removed by the previous owner. I think it would have come with the rear floor vent, but that’s gone too. Leaves a rather ugly gap.

The part number appears to be 251259135, but there are various versions around, A-D at least. Aside from the auto cut-out, do the essentially all fit the same? I’m not fussed about replacing the rear vent, just want to hide all the pipes. Engine is 1.6D, import from 84/5.

Many thanks for any assistance.

there are only three options, for the manual , turbo diesel floor is the only different floor pan , non turbo diesel and all the petrols are the same, and there are two colour options , brown and black

That’s much appreciated, so I can assume that the A variant would be the right one, as it would have been there first. Will start the eBay search.

Thanks.

I am not sure , because the two colours will have different part numbers .

that one on Ebay is for the walk through heater duct 253 259 135, so open in the middle, it may be if you don't block off the feeds to the duct you no longer have you may be directing hot air at floor in front of the gearstick, you can see the remains of the foam that was sealing the duct

without the heater duct it should be 251 259 135 B or 135 D for Diesel and 2.1 DJ according to ETOS, which may not be absolutely correct

pre model year 1983 they were different but we can no longer see the part numbers

Many thanks both for such comprehensive support.

Will probably get that one and restore the foam, as it’s a cheaper option for now and there are a hundred other things to fix that need the pennies. Then can either get the floor vent or the D version later.

Cheers,

Will
