Mass Air Flow Sensor, which replacement?

Thought to ask, as theres a wide choice,
and price range,
and is it too simple to just say get the same?

My AGU motor felt like it was running out of petrol,
but it had half a tank left in.
Finally it konked out, but I could smell petrol.
Anyhow the lovely breakdown man isolated a fault,
with the help of his OBD port reader.
Mass Air Flow Sensor.
After unplugging it, it runs again!

This is a MK4 Golf 1.8T AGU motor in my TriStar.

So simply order a replacement?
Bosch 0280217117
          037906461C
Of course I want to buy cheap, but get quality.
Breakdown man said he would get a second hand one,
and there is a very nice breakers near me too..
But then I do try for reliability.

Any thoughts before I click to buy?

New genuine Bosch £460 on autodoc, limited stock
cheap copy £34, autodoc, limited stock

using vw part number on autodoc there's a massive choice from all the boxers from £30 to that £460
price. Before buying I'd also be checking the VW price, through TPS, as they may have alternative quality to the Bosch for a little less but still VW warranty, nla from old stock via classic parts

that Bosch remanufactured one on Ebay is probably best bet

It came "next day" and is on and working now.

Still got a box of gear selector rubbers to fit...
Oil was low and found a breather hose come loose,
so a good day in the engine bay.

I am a bit in overwhelm with two to take care of,
its just which one to sell is all that stops me!
