Awning Attachment Problem

Hi Guys
I have a T25 Holdsworth Villa 3 Pop top.
Until recently I had a Cube awning which attached to the gutter by metal tube and clamps.
I now have a Turismo S awning which is connected by 3 Figure of 8  75cm long plastic connector strips which I understand from the Awning FAQ should fit onto the gutter. They don't! They fall off! :(

I'm proposing fitting a J rail (JK J295219) just above the gutter on the side of the roof base. Will this work, because JK shows this only mounted on the roof top, not the side?

Alternatively, I could fit a C rail and use a Double Edged 6mm to 6mm Kador Strip to link between the C rail and the Figure of 8 connectors.

Help! :?

Pete

That's how I fit mine to my Autosleeper high top, not sure what difference a pop top base might make. Used recommended double sided sealing tape & self tappers to fit the rail.

I have the black gutter trim on my Caravelle. The figure of 8 strips fit nicely over the trim and doesn't fall off.
Do you have the gutter trim on your bus?

Same method here- the 8 channel pieces slide onto the gutter from the rear of the bus, snug fit around the plastic gutter trim (which is glued onto the gutter I guess).
